The Klezmatics
August 8, Sun 05:00 PM @Marktplatz Leipzig

33 years ago at the 1988 Heimatklänge festival in Berlin, the Klezmatics began their rise to the very top of the klezmer world. With 13 albums and a Grammy award, many of their songs have become anthems that ring out wherever klezmer music is played in the world - in Europe, the Americas, Israel, Asia, Australia… everywhere! Yiddish Summer Weimar is proud to present them for a rare, post-pandemic return appearance. As always, the Klezmatics will play music for rejoicing and healing, songs of protest, drinking, celebrating Jewish rituals, for meditation and for love. Don’t miss what will be a powerful and inspiring evening!
