Judaism on One Foot: a whirlwind tour of Jewish culture and ritual
July 21, 3 pm - July 24, 1 pm
10 a.m. – 1 p.m. & 3 – 6 p.m. (except for the first and last day)

with Miriam Camerini

Come join a breathtaking journey into the very basics of Jewish religious rituals, texts and practices. We’ll look at - and even learn a little from - the most important books, such as the Bible and Talmud, we’ll explore the meaning of Shabbat as a day of non-creation and of course we’ll talk about food! (We might even taste some). This is also a great opportunity to learn some of the Jewish–related words and expressions which we’ll then encounter in the Yiddish song workshops. Led by the inspiring Miriam Camerini, an Italian/Israeli theater, vocal and culinary artist, now training to become an orthodox rabbi.

FLASH! Created especially for participants in Miriam Camerini's YSW workshop "Judaism on one foot" (but others are welcome to register, too). If you can be in Berlin on July 19, you're invited to join this last-minute cooperation between Yiddish Summer Weimar and Base Berlin On July 19, evening, in Berlin. This is an amazing opportunity to feel and taste Jewish culture in a thriving new setting in Berlin! Details and registration below:
Miriam will lead participants into a collective experience of learning, sharing and enacting a rabbinical story from within; no previous knowledge or skill is required, the only requirement is to come with an open heart.
Register for the event in Berlin: https://forms.gle/GFTwZbXudEKK5bUH9

AND! We hope you’ll stay one more day so that you can come to the official opening of YSW21 from 3-8 pm on July 25 at the Parkbühne egapark at the BUGA in Erfurt! Further info to be found here.
