A gute vokh, a gut yor
August 21 Sat 19:00 p.m. @Beethovenplatz

Free admission. Donations gratefully accepted.

On Saturday night, at the end of shabes (Sabbath), many Jews say to each other a gute vokh (have a good week) and reply a gut yor (have a good year). And so, too, will Yiddish Summer Weimar say goodbye this year on a Saturday evening under the tents on Beethovenplatz. We will share songs, stories, memories and wishes for the future (please see A shtim fun harts) as well as some special end-of-shabes rituals for closing one period of time and entering into a new one. Join us for what will be a very special evening and take the energy of closure and renewal with you into the coming year.
