Jutta Bogen

Jutta Bogen (D; violin)

Jutta Bogen is a classically trained violinist, passionate violin teacher (following the curriculum of the Associated Boards of the Royal Schools of Music), elementary music teacher and she holds a doctorate in art history. After many years of exciting discoveries in the world of Yiddish music, language and culture, she now teaches klezmer music and dance herself, e.g. at the vhs Konstanz and at the Bildungszentrum Singen (Klezmer für alle!). With her own ensembles Street Melody and Klezmerwiber, she performs regularly in the Bodensee region, Switzerland and France. She sings Yiddish songs and leads Yiddish dances at The Other Klezmerband's events and jam sessions. She has been working at the Kiselgof-Makonovetsky Digital Manuscript Project since December 2020 and enjoys being able to combine her musical passion with her predilection for historical research, old manuscripts and foreign languages. www.juttabogen.de
